Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

Position Summary

Walmart is expanding our workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. If you possess relevant experience, we invite you to bring your skills to our fast-paced and welcoming work environment.

• Support and oversee repairs within Walmart facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, and power tools.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls and ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues, including lifting up to 75 pounds, moving up and down ladders, and working at heights frequently.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

• Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance, or 4 years in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration experience.
• Type I / Type II EPA Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older and a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.

The hourly wage range for this position is $28.00 - $54.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may be paid as premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
