The Electrician Helper performs duties which are essentially routine and repetitive, as well as manual and semi-skilled, and assists, under the supervision of a licensed electrician, in the repair, maintenance and installation of electrical systems and equipment. Minimum Qualification RequirementsTo qualify, applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements:
Experience and Training:
Two (2) years of work experience in residential and/or commercial structural wiring and in the installation, alteration and repair of electrical equipment, wires and apparatus; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge of:
Basic principles and practices of the electrical trade, including safety procedures; and common tools, equipment and materials used in the electrical trade. Ability to:
Use hand and power tools common to the electrical trade; read and interpret sketches, simple plans, manuals and other materials; understand oral and written instructions; and perform heavy lifting, moving and other manual work typical of the class. Physical and Medical Requirements:
