Director of Educational Technology & Platform Development
The Donovan's Venom, INC. is a non‑profit 501(c)(3) organization focused on delivering music, art, and entertainment to those in need. We are building a learning platform that will serve as the central hub for our ecosystem. This role will define, build, and scale that platform.
Responsibilities- Define and execute the vision for the Donovan Learning Platform and manage the product roadmap.
- Lead development of the platform, including website and learning interface, interactive features, and integrations; establish agile workflows and ensure quality, performance, and scalability.
- Oversee UX/UI design, ensuring an intuitive, seamless user experience and continuous improvement through data‑driven decisions.
- Integrate learning systems and content such as games, animation, video, curriculum, and educational products.
- Build analytics and data systems for user engagement, learning progress, and platform performance to drive product decisions.
- Design and maintain system architecture, infrastructure, cloud environments, and backend systems for reliability and performance.
- Ensure data protection, system security, and compliance with relevant standards; identify and mitigate technical risks.
- Explore AI and other emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities and provide personalization.
- Support monetization strategies, including subscription models and licensing, to align with long‑term sustainability.
- Integrate the platform across Interactive Media, Animation & Media, and Educational Products divisions.
- Lead and develop the engineering, design, and product teams; set workflows, expectations, and a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Monitor platform performance, user engagement, and feature adoption, and continuously improve product and experience.
We are looking for someone who thinks in platforms, systems, and scale; can navigate between product, engineering, and strategy; understands building SaaS products from the ground up; leads technical teams while driving vision; and sees technology as the foundation of growth.
Qualifications Required- 5+ years in software development, platform, or technology leadership.
- Experience with end‑to‑end product/platform development.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, software development life cycles, and UX/UI principles.
- Experience in EdTech or SaaS platforms.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with data systems and analytics.
- Experience in remote teams.
- 10–15 hours per week.
- Executive‑level engagement.
