We seek an Associate Minister who will work with our Interim Senior Minister with the expectation he will step into the Senior Minister role in the near future. This person should have a
track record of church growth, to join with our church family in seeking the lost, growing people in spiritual commitment and teaching how we can be the hands and feet of Jesus. We are located in a rapidly growing, multi-cultural community in metro Atlanta. We are a church of 150+, on a six-acre campus, with community outreach programs and a strong mission's orientation.
We have accepted the challenge of growing in a diverse community, with many different belief systems, cultural identities and challenges. We desire a minister who can
accept this challenge, and apply his talents, skills and experience to accomplish our vision.
The Associate Minister is responsible for proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching Biblical revelation, engaging in pastoral care ministries. The principal intent of this position is growing the church within this community, through conversions to Jesus and growing the congregation in service to the Kingdom. The Associate Minister will have a direction responsibility to be engaged with the Senior Minster to facilitate his position.
The Associate Minister will be expected to obtain growth, maturity, and future responsibilities with
the vision of becoming a senior minister.
The minister must be a licensed or ordained minister of the Gospel. No specified formal education is required; however, the minister must demonstrate appropriate theological and doctrinal skill to adequately fulfill the requirements of the position. He should be a graduate of a recognized seminary in the Brotherhood.
Supervision:The Associate Minister will be supervised by the Board of Elders through the Chairman.
Requirements of the Position:- Work with the leadership to accomplish the vision and mission of the church.
- Be an example of a servant leader.
- Lead the congregation in glorifying God through worship by planning and conducting worship services, preparing and delivering sermons, and leading in observance of the ordinances of the church.
- Act as spiritual leader and overseer of the congregation in seeking God's will.
- Shepherd the congregation and work with the leadership and committees to effectively assist the congregation in personal spiritual growth and to grow disciples.
- Lead the church in a caring ministry for persons in the church and the community.
- Guide the congregation in reaching out to the community, region and world with the life changing message of Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
- Conduct counseling, perform weddings, and conduct funerals.
- Work with church leaders, program directors, and church committees in the planning, organizing, training, conducting and evaluation of all church ministries.
- Represent the church in denominational and civic matters.
