Responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting the Everus 4
EVER Strategy. Employees | Value | Execution | Relationships
Maintain supplier contracts, monitor product inventory levels across locations and place additional orders according to customer demands.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Educational and experience requirements include:
Four year technical or business degree or equivalent combinations of education and procurement experience. Minimum of 3-5 years construction purchasing experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies, accounting, and business contract laws required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Prepare written inquiries or obtain verbal or written quotes for vendor supplied items.
- Negotiate terms/conditions of and place purchase orders.
- Negotiates blanket purchase orders when appropriate and monitors cost during the time. Expedite awarded purchase orders when necessary to insure timely delivery.
- Coordinate invoice problems with vendor and accounting; delivery requirements with vendor and supervision; quality requirements with Engineering and QC, as appropriate.
- Oversee all required documentation for each purchase order.
- Establish/maintain working contact with vendors. Meet with sales and vendor representatives as required. Provide periodic vendor performance review, incorporating field and project management input and to determine vendor performance ranking and influence future purchases.
- Develops new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.
- Negotiate purchased material packaging and shipping for savings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
