Position: Central Primary Care Giver Float

WOCAP, a local non-profit organization, is seeking qualified candidates for a Primary Caregiver/FSW Float based at our Central location. This position is 40 hours per week, 12 months a year.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and educating each Child Development Services child to their fullest potential by assisting children with self-help skills, focusing on building positive relationships with the children and families and using an approved developmentally appropriate curriculum which promotes routines and social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of children.
  • Provide day-to-day care in the infant and toddler classroom.
  • Assist the children & families by ensuring coordination, facilitation, identification, enrollment, and provision of individual services in accordance with Child Development Services Performance Standards, licensing regulations, and WOCAP policies & procedures.
  • Ensure that all children receive required health related services by connecting them to resources, providing follow-up support services and identifying and removing barriers to needed services.
  • Must be physically able to actively participate with and supervise children at all times, interacting at child-level on the floor, ensuring a developmentally appropriate classroom.
  • Float positions require moving between classrooms as needed per day, including traveling to another site to perform the same responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
  • MUST be able to pass drug screen and background check.
  • Candidate must possess High School Diploma or GED.
  • Candidate must possess a current CDA certification.
  • Certifications in Child Abuse & Neglect, Communicable Disease, CPR, and First-Aid must be maintained.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and privately-owned vehicle during working hours preferred.
  • Ability to check electronic mail, entering data into program-specific software for required reports, and Internet skills required.
