Construction Estimator

This position will facilitate project takeoff and submit estimates for bids.

• Completion of an electrical training program
• Two years of technical or business degree or equivalent combinations of education and estimating experience

• Electrical construction experience or construction management degree
• Estimator/Project supervisor experience
• Five years' experience as electrical estimator preferred

• Requires knowledge of electrical construction theory
• Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Demonstrate conceptual estimates and financial analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Provide technical estimation of electrical projects from bid preparation through job closeout documentation to the customer
• Quantity takeoff entry into estimating software
• Solicitation and review vendor and subcontractor quotations
• Review current material price levels
• Review and estimate addenda as required
• Visit site and/or attend site walk meeting
• Review big/construction schedule
• Initial review of contract if included in bid documents
• Draft and submit proposal documents
• Follow post bid closeout procedures
• Attend weekly estimating team meetings
• Perform additional duties as assigned
