Site Safety Coordinator

Jeffers Crane Service, Inc. is seeking Job Site Safety Coordinators for a temporary assignment that will begin at the end of July and last through October. This will be two separate turnarounds back to back, chemical plant followed by a refinery. The position requires 5+ years of related experience as a safety professional with refinery history. This is a full-time, non-exempt temporary position.

• Field safety audit
  - Client and company audit programs
• Assist with Incident investigations
• Conduct Daily toolbox meetings
• JHA collection and review
• Reporting directly to company safety manager
• Address safety concerns of company employees and client management
• Rigging inspections
• PPE distribution

• Minimum OSHA 30 hour certification
• Current First Aid/CPR certification
• 5 years of experience
• Experience with cranes/heavy equipment
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written format, i.e. report writing.
• Experience in accident investigation.
• Ability to operate a personal computer.

• Computer/Technical literacy
• Ability to work safely with moving machinery
• Detail Oriented – Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
