High School Principal

Position: High School Principal 7-12
The Perry Local School District has a high school principal vacancy effective the beginning of the  contract year. Perry High School consists of grades 7-12. The Principal provides educational leadership for the building and oversees the management, administration, and facilitation of the school's daily operations, activities and events.

We are looking for a candidate who possesses a Master's degree or equivalent, appropriate Ohio Department of Education administrative licensure, and a minimum of three years teaching experience. Principal experienced preferred.

* Building cohesive teams of people within a 7-12 setting; guiding teams to establish and achieve goals. that adults assume positive intentions; and promote healthy adult accountability.

* Advancing multicultural understanding; ensuring equitable treatment and opportunity for all. Candidates must foster an inclusive environment that supports culturally responsive instruction and leadership, where diverse perspectives are welcome and integrated.

* Demonstrating perseverance and a results-oriented mindset in the face of resistance or setbacks. Candidates must build and maintain trust through integrity and diplomacy, addressing conflict with tact, admitting mistakes, modeling confidentiality and professionalism.

The successful candidate reports to the Superintendent and is a participating member of the district
leadership team. The primary component of this position is to provide the leadership required to successfully promote an effective learning environment for all students.

Timeline:
1. The advertisement for the Perry High School Principal position will be posted internally and on
School Spring website on Friday, February 20, 2026.
2. The Final date to receive applications will be set for Friday, March 6, 2026.
3. Interviews will tentatively be set March 9-13, 2026.
4. Committee's selected candidate will be recommended for Board approval on March 18, 2026.
5. If a suitable candidate is not secured by March 13, 2026 the posting will remain open and the
District will continue candidate search.
