Middle School Assistant Principal

Job Summary

The Middle School Assistant Principal supports the Principal in providing leadership, supervision, and administration of the school’s educational program. This role focuses on fostering a safe, positive, and academically rigorous learning environment while supporting staff, students, and families. The Assistant Principal helps oversee daily operations, student discipline, instructional programs, and school culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Principal in managing the overall operations of the school
  • Support and evaluate instructional programs to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
  • Promote a positive school climate focused on respect, safety, and student achievement
  • Oversee student discipline, attendance, and behavior management systems
  • Collaborate with teachers to improve instructional practices and student outcomes
  • Participate in staff supervision, evaluation, and professional development
  • Coordinate school activities, schedules, and events
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, staff, and community members
  • Ensure compliance with district policies, state regulations, and safety procedures
  • Analyze student data to inform decision-making and school improvement efforts
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field
  • Valid state administrative certification/licensure
  • Prior teaching experience (middle school experience preferred)
  • Previous leadership or administrative experience (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices
