Job DescriptionPerry Local Schools is seeking a dedicated and student-centered 3rd Grade Teacher to join our elementary team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality instruction, build strong relationships, and support student growth across all core content areas.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver standards-aligned instruction in English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies
- Use data to inform instruction and support student achievement
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Create a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment
- Implement effective literacy and foundational skill practices
- Collaborate with colleagues in team-based structures (TBTs)
- Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff
- Support building and district initiatives focused on continuous improvement
- Valid Ohio teaching license for Elementary Education (K-5 or appropriate grade band)
- Strong knowledge of elementary instructional practices and child development
- Commitment to collaboration, growth, and student-centered learning
- Ability to build meaningful relationships with students and families
- Experience with structured literacy and evidence-based reading practices
- Familiarity with data-driven instruction and intervention supports
- Experience integrating technology into instruction
