Plant Engineer Controls

Position Description

• Use plant monitoring software to review cycle times of machinery, review and follow up machinery projects and installations
• Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other machinery problems
• Update program backups for machinery
• Program new installations of machinery and conveyor systems
• Reprogram machinery for engineering changes and improvements

• Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls - Siemens and/or Indramat PL7
• Electrical Background (electrician or technician) o Related experience
• Siemens and Indramat servo and VFD drives
• Familiarity with VFD's, Armor starts, encoders, network/Ethernet controls

• 2+ years of related controls and debug experience.

• Ability to independently troubleshoot equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery
• ABB robot experience
• Microsoft office including excel, PowerPoint, word, etc.
• Ability to read prints, AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematics
• Ability to read blueprints

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
