Project Overview:

Coroccohuayco:

Located in the Espinar region of Cusco, Coroccohuayco is part of the extension plan for the operations of the current Antapaccay mine, one of the most important copper deposits in the country. The project consists of the development of the engineering and construction of the mine facilities around the new Coroccohuayco open pit that include a primary crusher, a conveyor belt and the expansion of the Antapaccay and Tintaya concentrator plants, each of which includes the incorporation of a new ball mill, flotation cells, remilling mills, concentrate filters and energy transmission and distribution systems.

Job Summary:

For this position the candidate will be required to have a strong background in multidiscipline 3D plant modelling, preferably S3D. As a PD&P 3D designer you will be required to create plant equipment & piping layouts, you will collaborate closely with other designers and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure that the 3D design meets all the regulations and standards set by the project.

The role requires proficiency in 3D design and the ability to extract 2D orthographic and isometric piping drawings from the model, under minimal supervision.

Major Responsibilities:

* Essential duties include performing 3D modeling of piping and equipment layout in a 3D model environment. Preferably SP3D.

* Preparing drawings/documents such as General Arrangements, Elevations and piping isometrics drawings.

* Assisting with coordination of 3D model activities, i.e., input, interference reconciliation, etc. with other physical related disciplines.

* Coordinating and interfacing as directed with the day-to-day technical work of PD&P engineers & designers.

* Reviewing and approving key PD&P engineering drawings and documents.

* Planning, developing, coordinating and reviewing design work within a small-size PD&P design work group on projects of medium size or assignments in support of global business unit.

* Ensuring PD&P systems design comply with all applicable installation codes, and standards.

* Communicating complex technical issues and recommends solutions to upper management.

* Facilitating technical discussions with third parties.

* Preparing or overseeing the preparation of PD&P design estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget, and manages implementation and performance accordingly.

* Coordinating with client representatives as delegated to obtain approval on phases of work.

* Ensuring PD&P systems design comply with all applicable installation codes and standards.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires Technical degree related to Industrial Design, and at least 10+ years of experience.

Required Knowledge and

Skills:

* Proficiency using a 3D layout / Piping design platform, preferably S3D.

* Experience using 3D piping / layout modelling tools is mandatory for this position.

* Experience using 3D/2D drafting tools.

* Intermediate English level (desirable).
