Job SummaryWe are looking for a PC&IS Engineer with experience in instrumentation, controls, electrical design, and engineering support for industrial plants. The ideal candidate should be comfortable developing engineering packages, coordinating with customers, vendors, and construction teams, and supporting commissioning and startup activities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop engineering designs and packages for power and instrumentation installations in industrial plants.
- Define project scope, coordinate with engineering teams, and deliver required engineering documentation.
- Work with customers to collect design inputs and clarify technical requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and construction teams to obtain information needed for design completion.
- Participate in design reviews with customers and construction teams and address required changes.
- Support construction, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Lead electrical startup activities for process and packaging equipment.
- Develop and maintain Instrument Datasheets, I/O Lists, Instrument Lists, Wiring Diagrams, Loop Drawings, and related engineering documents.
- Support control system architecture, instrumentation, junction box, cable tray, panel, and field installation designs.
- Apply knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems and industrial control networks.
- Design low-voltage electrical distribution systems, including power distribution panels and motor control centers, in accordance with NEC requirements.
- Support control panel design in accordance with UL 508A.
- Apply relevant codes and standards applicable to industrial and FMCG plant environments.
- Coordinate with vendors and support panel engineering and instrumentation & control activities.
- Support system commissioning and validation activities.
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, construction teams, and project stakeholders.
- 5+ years of experience in Instrumentation & Control or PC&IS engineering/design for industrial plants.
- Strong experience developing instrumentation and control engineering design packages.
- Experience with Instrument Datasheets, I/O Lists, Loop Drawings, Hook-Up Drawings, and Wiring Diagrams.
- Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and industrial control networks.
- Experience with LV electrical distribution, power distribution panels, and motor control centers.
- Knowledge of UL 508A control panel design requirements.
- Familiarity with NEC and applicable industrial plant codes and standards.
- Experience with panel engineering and field instrumentation installation.
- Ability to understand 3D models and support cable tray, panel, and instrumentation layouts.
- Good communication, coordination, project management, and vendor management skills.
- NFPA 70E knowledge/training.
- Commissioning and validation experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
