About the Role Accounting & Financial Operations- Manage daily accounting activities including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and general ledger maintenance
- Monitor customer accounts and collections activities to ensure timely payment and healthy cash flow
- Process and review financial transactions for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain accounting records and support documentation
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, inventory accounts, and balance sheet accounts
- Assist with payroll administration and related reporting as needed
- Assist with human resource role, as needed
- Ensure timely and accurate month‑end and year‑end close processes
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Analyze operating results and provide insights into ownership and management
- Monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics
- Assist with inventory valuation, costing, and manufacturing‑related financial analysis
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies
- Prepare schedules, reports, and supporting documentation for outside accountants, tax advisors, insurance advisors and 401k advisors
- Assist with general oversight of insurance policies & 401k plan
- Coordinate year‑end tax preparation and financial review activities
- Assist with semi‑annual and annual financial meetings with external accounting professionals
- Support tax planning initiatives and compliance requirements
- Serve as a primary point of contact for external financial advisors and banking relationships
- Evaluate and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
- Assist in implementing new financial systems, reporting tools, and operational processes
- Partner with operations, production, sales, and leadership teams to improve financial strength & meet company objectives
- Take ownership of special projects and cross‑functional initiatives as needed
- Assist in answering phones as part of front office team
- Assist in delegating projects to team members as needs arise
- Assist management in general oversight of daily operations
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience preferred
- Strong understanding of financial statements, general accounting principles, budgeting, and forecasting
- Experience with month‑end close and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑financial stakeholders
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Friendly personality that works well with others to achieve company objectives
