• Preferred: 18 months of Special Procedures/Interventional experience, ideally in a critical care setting

The primary responsibility of the Interventional Radiology Tech is to provide assistance with patient care in the Interventional Radiology Department through technical support to the IR team.

• Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting.
• Operate conventional, fluoroscopic, or radiology equipment to obtain images of designated body parts according to physician specifications and/or orders.
• Assist the physician with the performance of various diagnostic and interventional procedures by monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, observing patient response, maintaining a sterile field, and interpreting diagnostic data.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practice guidelines.
• Deliver quality, cost‑effective patient care in a professional manner.
• Work effectively to maintain an environment of excellence, patient focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality care.
• Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.
