Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the assessment, identification, facilitation and referral to appropriate psychiatric, medical, drugs and alcohol and social skills services to those Veterans identified appropriate for the ICMHR program.
• Independently evaluates the Veteran's mental health capacity, situation, abilities and capabilities, and determines a reasoned conclusion including an assessment of vulnerability and prioritization for admission.
• Assesses at-risk factors and develops a preliminary plan, involving the Veteran and in some cases family/care-giversand performs an insightful assessment of serious and complicated cases involving severe psychiatric illness which may also include, catastrophic medical condition, dementia, drug addiction, homelessness and other high risks diagnoses.
• Provides individual, group and family interventions and independent level case management interventions used in the treatment of Veterans with SMI (Serious Mental Illness).
• As part of a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment, the incumbent interviews the Veteran and sometimes family members/care-givers to establish facts about the Veteran's mental health, other presenting problems and their causes, and the impact of such problems on the Veterans social functioning and health.
• Incumbent will function as an independent Social Worker providing clinical interventions to Veterans in the ICMHR program, performing duties to facilitate independent community living by coordinating mental health and community care.

Note:

The incumbent will be required to perform up to 75% of their job duties in the community utilizing a GSA Vehicle. The Social Worker will successfully complete all facility requirements to drive a GSA Vehicle and transport Veterans. This includes all pre-employment physicals. In addition, the incumbent will successfully complete all facility required TMS trainings to drive a GSA Vehicle and transport Veterans.

Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay:
Competitive salary and regular salary increases
