Environmental Services Tech I
Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, procedures and policies the Environmental Services Tech I works independently in assigned area performing routine cleaning functions (including but not limited to dusting, mopping, polishing, vacuuming, and spot cleaning of furniture, floors, walls, fixtures, carpeting, etc.). Terminally cleans rooms after patient transfer or dismissal, empties linen hampers and waste baskets. Maintains a clean and orderly environment in the patient care unit.
Cleans equipment (including refrigerators, monitors, etc.), as well as break rooms, halls and other areas or items as directed. Complete any special project work after appropriate orientation, training and instructions. Performs other reasonable tasks as assigned (including pick up, transport and disposal of different types of waste and recycling).
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED) is preferred.
Licensure/Certification :
None required.
Experience:
A minimum of one year of similar experience is preferred.
Skills:
Must demonstrate ability to follow instructions and willingness to perform repetitive tasks.
