Position: Industrial Physical Therapist - Lima, OH (Relocation Assistance Offered)

Job Summary

The Industrial Physical Therapist provides onsite physical therapy services at a large-scale construction project, focusing on injury prevention, early intervention, functional improvement, and ergonomic risk reduction. This role supports worker health and safety by helping reduce injury-related costs and promoting safe, sustainable work performance.

Up to $1,500 in relocation assistance is included!

Schedule:

Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 6:00pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite physical therapy evaluations and interventions within scope of practice and state regulations.
  • Deliver early intervention services to address musculoskeletal discomfort before recordable injury occurs.
  • Identify cases requiring medical referral and coordinate appropriate escalation.
  • Design and implement injury prevention and movement optimization programs.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and job task analyses.
  • Support return-to-work and transitional duty programs through functional progression.
  • Document all services accurately, timely, and in compliance with legal and program standards.
  • Track and report trends, outcomes, and program effectiveness.
  • Educate employees on body mechanics, posture, and safe work practices.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Health, Safety, HR, and leadership teams.
  • Maintain clinic equipment and supplies used for PT services.
  • Comply with client policies, Work Care standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties and assume responsibilities as identified by manager for the efficient operation of Work Care.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT or equivalent)
  • Active Physical Therapist license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • 2–5 years of clinical Physical Therapy experience required
  • Experience in occupational health, ergonomics, industrial rehabilitation, or sports medicine preferred

  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability of maintaining privacy and confidentiality.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to create and edit written materials.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.

  • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors and clients.

  • Ability to meet and exceed daily and weekly individual performance goals.
  • Ability to work independently as well as assisting other team members when needed.

Computer Skills
  • Proficiency in Windows operating system environment, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to learn and use electronic medical records and client reporting systems.
Physical Demands
  • Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk.
  • Some bending and stretching could be required.
  • Working under stress and use of computer/phone required.
  • Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard.
  • Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds and climb stairs
Work Environment
  • Primarily onsite industrial/office environment.
