Provides alcohol and drug counseling and other ancillary services to inmates on an assigned caseload. Completes intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning for inmates. Coordinates with other treatment services for the purpose of individualized treatment planning. Utilizes a coordinated treatment approach in all interactions. Monitors attendance and participation progress of inmates in substance abuse programs. Reviews case files and manages termination of program participation.

Provides continuing care planning and intervenes in crisis situations as needed. Reviews inmate files for program admission consideration and treatment planning. Contacts relevant authorities and chemical dependency specialists regarding inmate activities. Develops and coordinates substance abuse programming for assigned inmates.
