Patient Access Associate Specialist

Ensemble Health Partners seeks a Patient Access Associate Specialist to support front-end revenue cycle operations for hospital and physician partners. In this role, you will perform accurate patient registration, verify insurance and benefits, obtain authorizations, and collect point-of-service payments to ensure timely reimbursement and a positive financial experience. You will use EHR and revenue cycle systems to maintain precise demographic and financial data, resolve coverage issues, and collaborate with clinical and billing teams.

Ideal candidates bring strong customer service, attention to detail, and prior patient access or medical front office experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate patient registration and demographic data entry in EHR and revenue cycle systems
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, obtain prior authorizations, and resolve coverage issues
• Collect and post point-of-service payments, co-pays, and deductibles in alignment with financial policies
• Communicate estimates, benefits, and financial responsibilities to patients with clarity and empathy
• Coordinate with clinical, billing, and scheduling teams to ensure complete and accurate documentation
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational privacy, security, and quality standards
• Monitor work queues, follow up on missing information, and escalate complex access issues as needed
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance front-end revenue cycle performance and patient experience
