Position DescriptionPerforms one human resources sub‑program (e.g., Personnel Actions, Position Descriptions, Workers Compensation, Disability Coordination, Health Benefits, FMLA, ADA, Performance Evaluation, Selection/Recruitment) for an assigned district. Responsibilities include composing, processing, approving, and entering personnel actions; preparing position descriptions; tracking workers’ compensation and disability benefits; enrolling employees in health benefit programs; scheduling interviews and participating in preliminary screening; maintaining tables of organization and succession plans;
researching recruitment methods and advertising vacancies; monitoring compliance with FMLA, ADA, and other regulations; coordinating performance evaluations; managing employee recognition and wellness programs; collecting and analyzing data to plan workforce needs and implement human resources initiatives.
Assists in monitoring, preparing, and processing forms and reports for non‑primary human resources sub‑programs; reviews and routes employee evaluations; attends and presents at new hire orientation sessions; responds verbally and in writing to inquiries from employees and the public; assists senior HCM staff with special projects and reports; attends meetings and seminars; orders supplies and forms; completes employment verification and reference forms.

Qualifications4 courses or 12 months of experience in human resources. Or an equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Additional InformationAll supplemental questions must be supported by work experience/education presented on the Civil Service application.
