Mid to High Level Residential Insurance Loss Control Field Inspector

Signature Companies is seeking experienced Residential Insurance Inspectors to visit property owners in your region to conduct interior insurance inspections and high‑value dwelling assessments. A minimum of two years of comparable experience (e.g., as a home inspector) is required.

This is a contract position (1099). You will be an independent contractor providing professional services to Signature Companies. Orders are managed through a cloud‑based system and contractor fees are paid monthly.

As an inspector, you will:

• Visit properties, take photos and measurements, and note any issues that should be brought to the underwriter’s attention.
• Complete and submit your report online; the report is then quality‑checked before being forwarded to underwriting staff.
• Write the report from home, ensuring all inspections are finished within 21 days, while arranging your own schedule.

To qualify, you must have reliable transportation, a digital camera, high‑speed internet access, and proficiency with Microsoft products. You should also possess a measuring wheel or similar device and be able to produce high‑quality work quickly. Good organization skills are essential. A background investigation, including a criminal record check and possibly a drug screen, will be required if you are selected.

• Document any unique construction and architectural features of the home.
• Identify underwriting concerns.

• Prior underwriting experience preferred.
• Prior inspection experience on residential homes.
• Loss control experience preferred.
• Construction experience preferred.
• Computer competencies in Windows and Internet environment required.
• BA or BS degree preferred.
• CPCU or IIA preferred.
• Must have smartphone, tablet, and personal computer.
• Late‑model car.
