Established, privately held logistics company is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead the site warehouse for a first-shift operation, with direct and indirect reports. As the Warehouse Supervisor
, you will report to the VP of Operations and oversee a team of up to 15 people. Daily, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Operational Oversight: Manages the daily operations and overall conditions of assigned warehouses to ensure results align with company performance goals and customer expectations.
  • Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Develops and implements hazardous materials management programs, safety protocols, and health programs (such as Spills Response and Chemical Hygiene) to meet legal mandates.
  • Financial Management: Monitors cost controls to achieve financial targets, manages labor utilization to minimize costs, and prepares capital expenditure proposals to upgrade facilities or equipment.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement: Maintains and audits Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ISO standards while instilling a continuous improvement approach across all warehouse functions.
  • Team Leadership &

    Coaching:

    Conducts performance appraisals, develops succession plans, and provides professional leadership to foster a stable work environment and minimize employee turnover.
  • Customer & Business Development: Acts as the primary point of contact for customer issues and assists with business development initiatives, including contract negotiations and customer visits.
  • Facility & Asset Maintenance: Oversees the maintenance of facilities and equipment, identifying when assets are obsolete or require remodeling based on operational needs.

Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment while holding others accountable, be professional, and able to handle pressure while finding ways to make processes better. Although more initially, individuals should enjoy spending up to 50% of their time on the floor, supporting a first shift operation.

Requirements for the Warehouse Supervisor
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of similar warehouse management experience.
  • Experience in warehousing chemical and HAZMAT-related materials.
  • Supervision experience in non-union work environments.
  • Experience working with an ERP or WMS system.
  • Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Skills Preferred but NOT required
  • Experience overseeing direct and indirect reports.
  • Knowledge of QMS systems, specifically ISO, would be ideal.
  • Sara reporting.
  • Strong safety and quality background.
  • Budget or P&L management.
  • 3PL experience.
