Job Overview
We are looking for a Production Supervisor II (Team Leader) to join our Ashland BDO business at our Lima, Ohio facility. This is a very visible and significant role within the company and the operations function. This position will report to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities- Directs and leads a salaried non‑exempt work team of 3-4 operating specialists on a rotating shift basis to manufacture and ship butanediol.
- The Team Leader operates the plant DCS and performs field tasks as part of the Operations Team, ensuring routine operations duties and adherence to operating guidelines, daily operations orders, and effective communication with distribution, maintenance and engineering.
- Provides safety leadership and develops a safe workplace, proactively preventing incidents and injuries; duties associated with PSM compliance are a routine portion of the Team Leader’s responsibilities.
- Maintains responsible and compliant environmental operations; in the event of a plant emergency, the Team Leader leads response activities in the initial phase.
- Communicates and documents shift handover, speaks to business needs and requirements, and troubleshoots preliminary diagnostics of plant mechanical problems.

- High School Graduate minimum.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a petrochemical environment with the capability to successfully lead others.
- Demonstrated responsible and ethical behavior at all times.
- Ability to help the company drive greater value through understanding the business, making complex decisions, and creating the new and different.
