Forge Press Operator

Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring a Forge Press Operator for our operation in Lima, OH. The Forge Press Operator is a member of our Forging Department responsible to operate forge press & manipulators, i.e. equipment setup and movement of ingots/forgings.

Competitive wages starting at $24.20/hr with the opportunity for higher compensation based on experience and skills. Benefit/insurance package includes 8 paid holidays, 401K, PTO, vacation, paid relief days, a $1,000 sign‑on bonus, and eligibility for the Production Incentive Program.

• Maintaining all equipment needed for forging operation.
• Operating press & manipulators, remote crane, and forge furnaces.
• Reviewing and verifying forging assignments, ingot schedules to strip, and movements of ingots/forgings between furnace and forge press.
• Managing the start‑up and shut‑down of the forge press and manipulators.
• Making forging sticks and hot‑cutting forgings.
• Reporting all deviations from production specifications, equipment problems, and issues.
• Performing other department duties as assigned.

• Must be capable of lifting 60‑80 lbs occasionally throughout the shift.
• Exposed to seasonal temperature changes.
• Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibration.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous foundry experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and use a tape measure/ruler.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.

Classification: Hourly

• Eligible at 90 days: participation in the production incentive pay program (potential to add $1‑$3 per hour to base pay based on production).
• Eligible after 90 days: paid relief days, paid time off (PTO), employee referral program.
• Eligible after 6 months: 401K program.
