Responsible to participate on a team to pack a product received from a making area (for example liquid, powder, capsules, pills) that gets labeled and packaged, or a finished product item (for example: brush, floss, paste, refills, razors) that gets packaged, manually or with the assistance of a machine or robot. Acts as a System Owner or Equipment Owner for the area in which they operate.
Operates and maintains the equipment in their area.
As a Plant Technician, you will:
- Operate and maintain high‑speed automated equipment, computer systems, or product distribution systems.
- Keep production flowing, meeting performance goals and maintaining high quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records and data.
- Act as a system or equipment owner in your area.
- Support continuous improvement efforts in a self‑directed team environment.
Comprehensive requirements include:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Ability to work from heights and use appropriate fall protection.
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds by bending and stooping; stand, walk, and climb stairs, ladders, and platforms; twist, turn and bend; stand on concrete floors for extended periods.
- Learn to discern visual and audible alarms for equipment start‑up etc.
- Willing to rotate shifts (day and night) on a 12‑hour rotating shift schedule; willing to work 7‑day per week (2‑2‑3 schedule).
- Age 18 or older.
- Wearing required safety PPE (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes, gloves & respirator; fall protection as needed).
- Ability to work around strong odor of perfume, essential oils, raw materials with appropriate PPE to eliminate odor.
- Use basic hand and power tools.
- Lifting 50 pounds; twisting, turning and bending.
- Climb, stand and move on stairs, ladders, and platforms.
- Stand on concrete floors for extended periods.
- Discern various visual and audible alarms and signals for equipment start‑up.
- Operate on a 12‑hour rotating shift schedule: days (5:30am–6:00pm) and nights (5:30pm–6:00am) on a 2‑2‑3 work schedule.
- Plant operates 7 days per week; shifts may change due to business volume variations.
- Relocation generally not paid.
Starting pay: $23.87 per hour. Total rewards include salary, potential bonuses, and benefits for full‑time employees.
