Electrical and Controls Plant Technician

Job Summary

Plant Technicians in Lima, Ohio will work as part of a team to pack products received from a manufacturing area—such as liquids, powders, capsules, pills, brushes, floss, paste, refills, razors—either manually or with the assistance of machines or robots. They will act as System or Equipment Owners for their area, operating and maintaining the equipment to ensure production flows smoothly and meets performance goals.

• Maintain and troubleshoot high‑speed packing, process, and utilities power & controls equipment
• Use electrical test equipment to diagnose electrical problems
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations on equipment
• Troubleshoot, monitor, and program PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems
• Troubleshoot and monitor variable frequency drives, servo control systems, and robotics
• Troubleshoot and repair machine and process control equipment
• Analyze trends and technical data to gain insights on controls and proactively identify issues
• Build technical skills in others

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education plus a 2‑year technical degree or certification in industrial electrical or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Wear required safety personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes, gloves & respirator) and use appropriate fall protection when needed
