Job Overview

Plant Technicians at Procter & Gamble work on a team responsible for maintaining production flow, achieving performance goals, and ensuring high quality for consumer products. The role requires mechanical skill, initiative, and continuous improvement focus.

Responsibilities

Key duties include:

  • Maintaining and troubleshooting high-speed packing, process, and other machinery and equipment.
  • Performing preventive maintenance and calibrations on equipment.
  • Monitoring and improving equipment and systems.
  • Analyzing trends and technical data to proactively identify issues.
  • Providing technical guidance and training to colleagues.

Shift Schedule

The plant operates 7‑days per week on a 12‑hour rotating shift schedule (2‑2‑3). Shifts alternate between day (5:30am‑6:00pm) and night (5:30pm‑6:00am). Technicians are expected to rotate shifts and work any time as required.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include:

  • 18years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED; at least 2years of technical experience in manufacturing or similar industries.
  • Applied mechanical skills in an industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of various machinery and components (engines, pumps, compressors, turbines, conveyors, gears, bearings).
  • Proficiency with hand, power, diagnostic, and precision tools.
  • Understanding of system integration, control mechanisms and interconnections with electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, issue resolution, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to rotate shifts on a 12‑hour shift schedule.
  • Capacity to work around strong odors and use appropriate PPE.
  • Ability to work at heights and use safe fall protection.
Physical Requirements

The role requires physical tasks such as:

  • Using hand and power tools.
  • Lifting 50pounds while bending and stooping; climbing, standing, and moving on stairs, ladders, and platforms.
  • Twisting, turning, and bending; standing on concrete floors for extended periods.
  • Discern visual and audible alarms and signals for equipment start‑up.
Employment Details
