Plant Technician

Job Location

LIMA (OHIO) PLANT

Responsible for participating on a team that packs products received from the manufacturing area—such as liquid, powder, capsules, pills—or finished items like brushes, floss, paste, refills, and razors. Operate and maintain packaging equipment and act as the System or Equipment Owner for the area in which you operate.

• Pack and label products, using manual labor or assistance from machines and robots.
• Operate and maintain high‑speed automated packaging equipment, computer systems, and product distribution systems.
• Act as System Owner or Equipment Owner for the assigned area.
• Maintain accurate records and data related to production and equipment performance.
• Operate essential material handling equipment (e.g., clamp truck, forklift, hand trucks).
• Use basic hand and power tools, lift up to 50 pounds, and climb, stand, and move around on stairs, ladders, and platforms.
• Discern visual and audible alarms and signals for equipment start‑up and operation.
• Maintain a safe work environment, using required personal protective equipment and appropriate fall protection.

• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
• Experience in manufacturing processes, including operating, maintaining, and cleaning automated equipment.
• Strong technical, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Willingness to work rotating 12‑hour shifts on a 2‑2‑3 schedule (days: 5:30am–6:00pm; nights: 5:30pm–6:00am).
• Physical ability to lift, climb, stand, and work around strong odors with proper PPE.
• Willingness to rotate and work any shift as needed.

The Lima Procter & Gamble Plant operates 7 days per week on rotating 12‑hour shifts, following a 2‑2‑3 schedule. Technicians are expected to be willing to rotate shifts and work any shift as business needs require.
