Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours: 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment in Lima, OH. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, utilizing clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment for patients with cardiac and critical care needs.

• Provide direct patient care using evidence-based practices

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes

• Manage post-operative cardiac patients, including open heart cases

• Handle chest tubes and other drainage systems

• Assist with procedures such as:

  • Chest tube removal

  • Pericardial pacing wire removal

  • Temporary pacer management

• Deliver pre- and post-procedure care (radial & femoral access patients)

• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory support equipment including NIV and high-flow oxygen

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and supervise LPNs/PCTs

• Float to other units within skill set as required

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience

• Post-operative open heart care experience (Required)

• Critical care experience (Highly Preferred)

• Strong cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills

• Experience with cardiac and pulmonary conditions

• Ability to manage advanced cardiac equipment and procedures

• Active RN License (Ohio or Compact)

• BLS (AHA) – Required

• ACLS (AHA) – Required
