Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Stepdown RN to provide care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical‑surgical or general inpatient units. The role includes frequent monitoring, specialized nursing interventions, medication administration, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient‑centered care.

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Other relevant certifications and licenses may be required

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures
• Maintains patient comfort and safety during telemetry care
• Observes and records significant conditions and responses, notifying supervisors or physicians
• Responds to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans centered on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry patient care
• Maintains patient confidentiality
• Performs other duties within scope of practice
• Adheres to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and communication in English
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
• Physical abilities: stationary position, movement, equipment handling (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend
• Interpersonal skills: work effectively with variety of personnel, positive attitude, professionalism
• Technical/Motor skills: fine manipulation, assist in procedures, use of department equipment
• Mental requirements: cope with public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision or independently, handle irregular schedules
