Location: Lima, OH Agency: Fusion Medical Staffing Pay: $1,576 to $1,677 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP

About The Position

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Telemetry RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Lima, Ohio. The Nurse will provide comprehensive patient care in a telemetry unit, focusing on continuous cardiac monitoring and assessment. The role includes evaluating patient health, implementing specialized care plans, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high‑quality patient‑centered care for individuals with cardiac conditions.

The position requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, excellent communication, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and professional ethics.

Required Qualifications
  • One year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN
  • Valid RN license in Ohio
  • Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
  • Current ACLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN)
  • NIHSS certification
  • Other relevant certifications and licenses
Essential Work Functions
  • Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, with a focus on cardiac care
  • Prepares equipment and aids physician during cardiac‑related procedures and examinations
  • Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients
  • Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient’s cardiac status and response to interventions
  • Responds to life‑saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies
  • Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients
  • Initiates patient education plans according to individualized needs, focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications
  • Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients
  • Maintains confidentiality of patients and client
  • Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
  • Adheres to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Required Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
  • English reading, writing, and verbal communication proficiency
  • Ability to understand written instructions and follow verbal instructions; PC skills proficiency
  • Physical ability to remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personnel and maintain a positive attitude
  • Technical/motor skills to grasp, perform fine manipulation, and assist with procedures and department equipment
  • Mental resilience to handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines, and work under close or independent supervision; tolerate irregular schedules and continuous concentration
  • Sensory requirement: visual acuity and effective communication
