Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Schedule:

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12 Hour Nights) Every Other Weekend

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience.
• Active Ohio or Compact RN License.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• Competency with cardiac medications (including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex).
• Competency in telemetry and knowledge of heart rhythms.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to recognize changes in patient status, including signs/symptoms of stroke.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using age-specific criteria.
• Assist in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff, including LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries.
• Monitor and manage patient vitals and cardiac conditions in a telemetry setting.
• Administer medications as per protocol and monitor for effectiveness and adverse effects.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding health management and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Attendance is critical; must be committed to reporting for all assigned shifts and be on time.
