Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Schedule:

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12 Hour Nights) Every Other Weekend

Requirements:

• 2+ Years of Experience
• Active American Heart Association BLS
• Active American Heart Association ACLS
• Active Ohio/OH or Compact RN License
• Competence with cardiac medications (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex)
• Competence in telemetry and knowledge of heart rhythms
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Ability to recognize signs/symptoms of stroke

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using age-specific criteria.
• Make judgments based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills.
• Assist in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff, including LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries.
• Recognize changes in patient status and intervene accordingly.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
