Mobile DON; Director of Nursing

American Medical Administrators (AMA LTC) is seeking a strong, adaptable, and clinically confident Mobile Director of Nursing (DON/RN) to support multiple skilled nursing facilities within the Lima, Ohio region. This leadership role is designed for a seasoned nurse leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is capable of driving consistent clinical excellence across multiple locations.

The Mobile DON will provide hands‑on leadership, mentorship, and operational support across approximately 5–6 facilities, ensuring high‑quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong clinical outcomes at each site. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven nursing leader who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and making an impact across a broader organizational footprint.

• Provide interim leadership as the acting Director of Nursing at assigned facilities as needed.
• Assess and stabilize nursing operations during leadership transitions, regulatory challenges, or staffing shortages.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company regulations and standards of care.
• Assist facilities with preparation and response to state surveys and audits.
• Monitor quality metrics, develop action plans, and support implementation to improve clinical outcomes.
• Mentor and train facility nursing leadership and staff on clinical best practices, documentation, and company policies.
• Participate in facility and regional leadership meetings as a clinical resource.
• Provide support during crisis management situations including infection control outbreaks or major clinical incidents.
• Travel frequently to assigned facilities within the region or company footprint.
• Actively participate in the onboarding of new Directors of Nursing.
• Report clinical concerns and progress regularly to regional and executive leadership.
