Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room provides high-quality patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans for emergency patients. They collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes during their shift.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions rapidly upon arrival and prioritize care needs.
• Develop and execute individualized care plans tailored to each emergency case.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and resource utilization.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions and post-discharge instructions.
• Document patient assessments, care provided, and clinical outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 1+ years of recent Emergency Department experience.
• Hold an active Ohio or Ohio-compact RN license.
• Maintain active American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in emergency care procedures and age-specific patient management.
• Ability to float across various units within scope of practice and skill set.
• Possess a skills checklist current within one year relevant to Emergency Room nursing.
