LPN - 3 South

LPN Position

Functioning within the Health System’s mission, vision, values, policies and procedures. The LPN functions as a partner to the Registered Nurse with the goal of providing quality patient care. The LPN responsibilities include collecting data, implementing and evaluating nursing care.

Education:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Basic Cardiac Dysrhythmia class is required within 6 months of hire.
• Intermediate Cardiac Dysrhythmia Class required within 1 year of hire.

Licensure/Certification:

• Must have a valid unrestricted LPN license for the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS required.
• Must be Intravenous certified.
• ACLS required or obtained within six months of hire.

Experience:

• One to three years experience specific to physician office practice or Health System preferred.
• Telemetry experience is preferred.

Skills:

• Must have excellent customer service skills, including the ability to exhibit patience and tact with all constituents including physicians, patients and associates.
• Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes and be on call per department requirements.
• Be cooperative and collaborative, and have the documented ability to work with speed and proficiency while under stress.
• Must have basic computer skills and EMR (electronic medical records) experience.
• Must be able to print and write legibly and accurately.
• Possess the ability to calculate simple mathematics and follow instructions.
