RN Telemetry / Stepdown Registered Nurse

Lima, OH

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday | Onsite

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness using the nursing process
• Administer medications safely and consistently in accordance with state practice standards and facility policies, including drips such as Cardizem, Nitro, and Heparin
• Read and interpret telemetry rhythms every 4 hours using EPIC electronic health record system
• Serve as the primary point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families
• Clinically manage patients with multi-system conditions, including those requiring oxygen modalities such as Trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, and Nasal Cannula
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and serve as a patient safety advocate throughout the unit

• Current RN license in the state of practice or covered under a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• Dysrhythmia Exam required prior to start (study guide available)
• Non-local candidates only; local candidates will not be considered for this position

• Experience with CAPD (Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis)
• Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Health Record system
• CCRN or PCCN certification
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

• Work in a structured 28-bed Telemetry and Renal unit with phlebotomy support available for peripheral lab draws
• Travel experience is not required, making this an excellent opportunity for experienced RNs looking to transition into travel nursing
