RN Telemetry

Lima, OH

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
• Safely administer medications, including cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, and Heparin, with the ability to titrate as needed
• Serve as the primary point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments, including communication with family members and caregivers
• Monitor and manage telemetry patients including cardiac rule-out cases, CHF exacerbations, pre/post cardiac catheterization patients, and alcohol detox patients
• Anticipate and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions using evidence-based clinical judgment and the nursing process
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and advocate for patient safety throughout the unit

• Current RN license in the state of practice or covered under a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to direct patient care
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Dysrhythmia Exam required (study guide available)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization patients strongly preferred

• Experience managing cardiac drip titration in a telemetry or stepdown setting
• Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• CCRN or PCCN certification preferred
• Experience with PICC lines, ports, JP drains, and stable chest tubes

• Work in a structured 36-bed telemetry unit with consistent support staff including unit secretaries and patient care technicians
• Immediate interview and offer process for qualified candidates
