RN Telemetry

Lima, OH

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness using the nursing process
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Nitro, and Heparin in accordance with applicable standards and policies
• Monitor and manage telemetry patients including cardiac rule-out, CHF exacerbations, pre/post cardiac cath patients, and alcohol detox patients
• Serve as the primary point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members and family caregivers
• Manage patients with stable chest tubes, JP drains, ports, and PICC lines; monitor patients on chronic BiPAP/CPAP and chronic trachs as applicable
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement and upholding patient rights and privacy

• Current RN license in the state of practice or covered by compact licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from an approved source required prior to direct patient care
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• Dysrhythmia Exam required (study guide available)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Ability to titrate IV drips; experience with pre/post cardiac cath patients

• At least 6 months of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• CCRN or PCCN certification
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

• Work in a dynamic telemetry unit with a diverse patient population and a collaborative, interdisciplinary care team
