Job Site Safety Coordinator
Jeffers Crane Service, Inc. is seeking Job Site Safety Coordinators for a temporary assignment that will begin at the end of July and last through October. This will be two separate turnarounds back to back, chemical Plant followed by a refinery. The position requires 5+ years of related experience as a safety professional with refinery history. This is a full-time, non-exempt temporary position.
Safety Coordinator – Essential Functions
- On-boarding New Hires
- New hire Orientation, employee verification (I-9's), drug screen management - Field safety audit
- Client and company audit programs - Assist with Incident investigations
- Conduct Daily toolbox meetings
- JHA collection and review
- Reporting directly to company safety manager
- Address safety concerns of company employees and client management
- Rigging inspections
- PPE distribution
Job Specifications/Experience/Education
- Minimum OSHA 30 hour certification
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- 5 years of experience
- Experience with Cranes/ heavy equipment
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written format, i.e. report writing.
- Experience in accident investigation.
- Ability to operate a personal computer.
