Site Safety Coordinator

Jeffers Crane Service, Inc. is seeking a Job Site Safety Coordinator for a temporary assignment that will begin at the end of July and last through October. This will be two separate turnarounds back to back, one at a chemical plant and then at a refinery. The position requires 5+ years of related experience as a safety professional with refinery history.

This is a full-time, non-exempt temporary position.

Safety Coordinator – Essential Functions

• Field safety audit – client and company audit programs
• Assist with incident investigations
• Conduct daily toolbox talks
• JHA collection and review
• Reporting directly to the company safety manager
• Address safety concerns of company employees and client management
• Rigging inspections
• PPE distribution

Job Specifications/Experience/Education

• Minimum OSHA 30-hour certification
• Current First Aid/CPR certification
• 5 years of experience
• Experience with cranes/heavy equipment
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written format, i.e. report writing
• Experience in accident investigation
• Ability to operate a personal computer
