Retail Sales Associate - Part Time

Overview

$11.00 to $14.00 per hour

Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate) – to join our team at pawn store locations nationwide. This role combines customer service with sales and lending activities across jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The successful candidate earns hourly pay plus commission based on productivity.

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; foster a positive customer experience.
• Collaborate with staff to deliver excellent service.
• Complete required training and perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
• Minimum Age: 18;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math skills.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work at multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and standard office equipment.

Commission:
Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal gross profit. Pay details provided during the interview process. Earned Wage Access is provided by Net Spend; signup is required with restrictions and fees. First Cash 401K is available to employees 21 years or older.
