Days off – Saturday and Sunday
Start time approximately 5 a.m.
Position serves as the primary store‑level salesperson for large accounts such as supermarkets. Responsibilities include providing service to, growing, and maintaining business in assigned accounts, ordering products for delivery by another employee, generating sales, rotating and stocking products on shelves, in coolers, vending equipment and customers’ backrooms, building displays, and setting up promotional materials such as pricing signs and banners. This role requires frequent interaction with store management and is labor intensive, involving lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling cases weighing 20-45 pounds repeatedly over a 10–12 hour shift.
The position may include weekend and/or holiday work.
- Grow sales volume, market share, product distribution, space allocation, and customer service in all assigned accounts
- Sell product inventory to standard accounts
- Take inventory and place orders for future delivery
- Solicit new business to increase volume and new package distribution within the area boundaries
- Execute promotions, solicit placement of equipment and sell sufficient product inventory
- Utilize point‑of‑purchase materials to stimulate sales
- Generate selling opportunities by maintaining and increasing shelf facings, cleaning shelves, and rotating products
- Provide excellent service to assigned accounts and maintain goodwill with customers (e.g., communication, rapport building, attentiveness to customer needs)
- Merchandise product sections and build displays to stimulate sales
- Complete paperwork accurately, legibly, and timely
- Perform additional duties assigned by manager, potentially including warehouse support
- Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
- 18 years or older
- Must have reliable personal transportation (car) to access multiple store locations within the assigned shift
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Experience with consumer products (multiple products, packages, product sizes, etc.)
- Experience in the beverage industry (segments, types of customers, competitors, trends, etc.)
- Experience with power equipment (lift jacks, power jacks, u-boats, pallet jacks, etc.)
- Experience with handheld computers (mobile technology, etc.)
- Experience managing inventory (current stock, projected sales, ordering/re‑stocking, etc.)
- Experience with business‑to‑business selling (making sales calls, building relationships, handling complaints, etc.)
- Experience with merchandising (standards, plannagrams, product displays, stocking/rotating product, back‑room organization, etc.)
- Experience managing incorrect orders (solving wrong orders, managing out‑of‑stock products, etc.)
- Experience performing financial and mathematical calculations (calculating profit margins, determining display size, etc.)
- Experience managing a route (prioritizing stops, setting a schedule, servicing accounts, managing delivery windows, etc.)
- Experience with incremental selling (selling above the standard order, suggesting additional product, upselling/suggestive selling, etc.)
- Experience following safety procedures (proper lifting techniques, following safety processes, etc.)
Mileage reimbursement is provided for positions that require use of a personal vehicle.
