About the Position
We are seeking a motivated, customer‑focused Customer Service & Inside Sales Representative to join our growing manufacturing team. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customers, handling incoming calls, processing orders, answering product questions, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
This role combines customer service with outbound prospecting during periods of downtime, offering opportunities to contribute to company growth. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people, is highly organized, and is comfortable initiating conversations with prospective customers.
This is a full‑time salaried position with a comprehensive quarterly and annual bonus program, as well as additional performance incentives tied to business development and lead generation efforts.
This is not a high‑pressure sales position. The primary focus of the role is customer service and order processing, with opportunities to earn additional incentives through outbound customer outreach and lead generation activities.
As a member of our team, you’ll play a direct role in supporting customers who rely on our products every day—from utility crews and emergency responders to pilots and aviation professionals around the world.
Responsibilities – Customer Service & Order Management (Approximately 80%)- Answer incoming customer calls and emails in a professional and friendly manner
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide product information, pricing, and order status updates
- Coordinate with production, shipping, and management teams to ensure customer satisfaction
- Resolve customer concerns and follow up on inquiries
- Maintain accurate customer records and order information
- Assist customers with product selection and recommendations when appropriate
- Monitor customer accounts and communicate proactively regarding orders and deliveries
- Conduct outbound prospecting calls to potential customers
- Follow up with inactive, former, and existing customers regarding additional opportunities
- Identify qualified sales leads and schedule follow‑up conversations
- Maintain prospect and lead information within company systems
- Support company sales initiatives and promotional campaigns
- Meet established outreach and lead‑generation activity goals
- Contribute ideas for improving customer acquisition and retention efforts
- Previous experience in customer service, inside sales, account management, retail management, banking, hospitality, recruiting, logistics, or other customer‑facing roles preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable speaking with customers and prospective clients by phone
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications
- Experience with CRM, ERP, order management, or inventory systems is a plus
- Manufacturing, logistics, distribution, construction, industrial supply, or business‑to‑business customer service experience is a plus, but not required
- Self‑motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
