Position OverviewManages the commercial sales function. Responsible for ensuring the organization’s commercial sales volume and profitability objectives are met. Responsible for generating revenue in commercial sales and key accounts. Responsible for working with the appropriate stakeholders to develop a divisional commercial sales plan, forecasts, and budgets. Provides leadership to managers and/or professional staff. Develops and implements customer growth strategies and sales strategies.
Is accountable for the performance and results. Maintains and develops relationships with potential commercial customers and channel partners. Works collaboratively with VP Commercial Sales, Divisional Vice President, and peer group to define and share best practices.
- Manages and directs the commercial sales function.
- Develops and implements customer growth strategies and sales strategies.
- Establishes contacts and relationships with potential commercial customers and channel partners.
- Works with the appropriate stakeholders to develop a divisional sales plan, forecasts, and budgets.
- Communicates the mission and goals of the organization.
- Partners with internal departments to ensure the commercial sales team is equipped with product knowledge, system, and selling‑skills.
- Evaluates staff performance and administers disciplinary actions consistent with company policy.
- Works collaboratively with VP Commercial Sales, Divisional Vice President, and peer group to define and share best practices.
- Responsible for analyzing historical data and identifying internal and industry trends that may impact business results.
- Assist Manager Commercial Sales with complex sales negotiations.
- May participate in establishing training and commercial sales incentive programs.
- Bachelor degree (BS/BA) from a four‑year college or university.
- Five (5) years sales management experience in business‑to‑business sales.
- Prior management/director level experience.
- Proven sales track record in commercial sales.
- Masters degree preferred.
- Seven (7) years management in the service industry preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of organizational policies and practices.
- Knowledge of service industry.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Problem resolution and negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to execute and create business strategies.
- Ability to collaborate and motivate others.
- Ability to communicate with senior leaders and channel partners.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time.
- Regularly required to:
Sit, stand, walk, use hands and arms to handle, feel or reach, speak and hear, and use close vision abilities. - Occasionally required to:
Lift or move up to 25 lbs, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
