- You will serve as a trusted guide, advising customers on the tools, hardware, and materials needed to successfully complete their projects.
- By demonstrating equipment use and sharing insights on product quality, you help our customers pioneer new solutions in their own work.
- Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment to ensure a secure environment for everyone.
- Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external partners, fostering understanding and long-term relationships.
- Ensures all required paperwork is accurately completed, including coding, costing, and pricing.
- Partners with customers to identify the best tools and procedures for their specific tasks; demonstrates equipment use to build customer confidence.
- Manages order entry and processes transactions; assists the team with the reconciliation of deposits.
- Coordinates via phone, e-mail, and in person with customers and team members to provide helpful information on costs and delivery.
- Contributes to an outgoing call strategy to support the continued growth and success of the branch.
- Coordinates the transfer of merchandise between locations to meet customer needs.
- Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a supportive manner with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
- Stocks shelves and maintains welcoming showroom displays to provide an excellent customer experience.
- Coordinate cylinder movement and pallet organization.
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a retail or customer service environment, with exposure to industrial sales or a related field considered a plus.
- Forklift experience required, and full training will be provided upon hire.
- Must be able to operate in a drug‑free workplace.
- Capable of moving items up to 50 pounds regularly, using material handling equipment or assistance as needed.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced setting.
- Comfortable using basic math and computer tools, including POS systems (training provided).
- Experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control is a plus.
- Attention to detail in handling transactions.
- Availability for occasional overtime when the team needs extra support.
- A background in gas, welding, or safety supplies is a wonderful asset.
- Familiarity with SAP, Google, or MS Office Applications.
- A valid driver's license is helpful for this role.
- A detailed understanding of SAP and PROS functionalities.
- The ability to communicate clearly and warmly with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds.
