We provide a quality training program and opportunities for advancement.
- Use locating equipment to determine the location of gas lines in a designated area and mark the area with paint and flags to prevent damage to utility infrastructure.
- Perform hand digging, if required, to unearth gas lines.
- Develop knowledge and understanding of underground utility infrastructure.
- Follow all company, client, state, and federal damage prevention guidelines.
- Locate other utilities in addition to gas lines, depending on the project assignment.
- Work daytime, full‑time shifts with a 48‑hour turnaround on many locates, including the day after holidays and some weekends.
- Be available to work overtime, weekend shifts, and on‑call shifts (including nights and weekends) as business needs dictate.

- Previous outdoor experience is a plus.
- Availability for overtime, weekend, and on‑call shifts.
- Ability to travel locally during the business day; occasional out‑of‑area or overnight travel may be expected.
- Pass a drug screen (this is a safety‑sensitive position).
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift heavy items up to 75lbs.
- Ability to distinguish colors used to identify wiring and mark utilities.
- Proficiency with technology, including reading locate tickets, maps, and prints, and basic math for distance calculations.
- Clear communication with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
- Customer service experience is a plus.
