Carpentry & General Maintenance Technician

DescriptionPosition Summary: Facilities Field Technician provides comprehensive maintenance support, including general repairs and construction-related work, to ensure a secure and well-maintained environment for residents and staff.
Responsibilities- Follow HCF Policies and Procedures
- Meet job related competencies as outlined in the Skills Competency Manual
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance (doors, windows, flooring, fixtures)
- Carpentry: framing, drywall, painting, trim work, cabinetry installs
- Doors:
Install frames, door slabs and commercial hardware - General concrete work: cutting, removal, placement and finishing
- General property maintenance: weed control, leaf and debris clean up
- Support Life Safety compliance and infection control protocols
- Coordinate small capital projects and oversee vendors as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Must be licensed to drive without restrictions. 5+ years of multi-trade experience (maintenance, carpentry, construction). Proficiency or general knowledge in carpentry, drywall, painting, door hardware, electrical, plumbing, flooring. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between facilities. Preferred: experience in healthcare or senior living environments. Versatile and resourceful problem-solver. Strong craftsmanship and attention to detail.
